Our heritage weaves in luxurious handspun, handwoven wool with contrast hand-stitched details bring together traditional elements with modern styles. Named after the Rosefinch bird, that has various shades of red in its plumage, this kimono has also been naturally dyed a beautiful shade of red using Sappanwood.

Stitched together with dosan, which is the hand stitch that joins two pieces of woven fabric. In a woman’s pattu, it’s the mark of authenticity that the piece was woven on a rachch (a local loom) and not the newer frame loom which can weave wider fabric. The rachch also requires more strength in beating, so the dosan signifies the hard work put into the piece.

This piece utilises the most decorative form of the traditional stitch to construct our apparel pieces. We think of its incorporation as an ode to the traditions of the community we work with, and a window to keeping that tradition alive in a modern context.

A kimono-inspired jacket with a woven belt tie. Bound with naturally-dyed malkha cotton. Wear it open or closed - warm and stylish either way!

All items are handcrafted and naturally dyed, leading to minor changes in colour and motifs in products; thus adding to the beauty of each garment and making it as unique as you are.
